There have been so many exciting things happening in our classroom since 2013 has started!
I'd like to, once again, thank the parents who came in to help for our Scientist in the School presentation. The students really enjoyed experimenting with magnets and the interactive centres would not have run properly without your help!
Another exciting thing to happen in January is that our class has started a Penny Drive to help Free the Children fund their clean water project. We just started collecting this morning and already have a lot of pennies! Take a look at the picture below! But we need a lot more because we need to be collecting enough to make $25! So keep sending them in!!
Just a place for parents, students and educators to see what we've been up to in our Kindergarten class this year!

What Happens to Snow?
We decided to take full advantage of the small snowfall today and decided to bring some inside to see what happens to it.
We wondered what happens to snow when it is brought indoors. The students guessed it would melt and then came up with reasons for why this happens. They said inside would be too hot for snow to survive, so we then wondered what would happen to the snow if we put it in the freezer! Would it still melt? Would it remain as snow? Would it freeze into ice?
We watched as the snow in the classroom melted, but we are still waiting to see what happens with the snow in the freezer!
